Hello everyone! We, Eric Hansen and Jonathon Cole, are the founders and co-owners of Finishing Touch Custom Woodworks, Inc. We come from very different backgrounds but have very similar objectives. Individually we both wanted to be in business for ourselves, be our own boss, control our destinies. Perhaps we haven’t done it in a way we envisioned as individuals, but what we have done is taken the strengths we learned while on our individual journeys and manage the business accordingly. ERIC has many years of experience in woodworking and construction. Originally from the East side of Iowa Eric moved to Connecticut working construction then moved to Oklahoma mostly for schooling. Eric then moved back to IA in 1994 and shortly after started saving his money and making plans to start his own woodworking business. JON has gotten all of his woodworking tutelage from his partner Eric. His background is product management, technology, sales, and marketing. His travels started (born and raised) on the far west side of Iowa in Sioux City. Sometime around 9th grade his dream became to run his own business someday. After college a brief stint was spent in Minneapolis, MN, back to Sioux City, then on to the great city of Chicago. These travels took him through the different areas of running a business. Then as fate would have it he met a girl (then wife) that also happened to be the sister of Eric.
MISSION STATEMENT Create custom furniture of the highest quality with kitchen cabinets as the core of the business. Develop a reputation as a dependable high-end cabinet shop. Deliver to the customer a better than expected product.
